Pond-Deshpande Centre Interns

Chris Burnett
Summer 2015
Chris joins us from Aberdeen, Scotland for the summer as an intern under the British Council's pilot program 'Students for Social Impact'. He is a current undergraduate student at the Robert Gordon University, studying Applied Social Sciences. Students for Social Impact placements provide the opportunity for talented students to contribute to life-changing social enterprises in Canada or the UK, gain valuable overseas experience, and connect with other young leaders of the future.
Over the summer as a key PDC team member, he will be working on various projects including; mapping the social entrepreneurial ecosystem of Atlantic Canada and helping to establish a Social Innovation Lab at the PDC. More generally, Chris will be discovering the various opportunities available that involve youth and social entrepreneurship in Canada, to then to apply this to a Scottish context.
